A new, animated show is beginning on Jan. 3, 2009. The show called Huntik is a new animated series.The license for the intellectual property was picked up by Upper Deck Entertainment in 2008 and is rumored to contain a whole line of toy products.
Picking up on the popular theme of magic introduced by J.K. Rowling and the popular Henry Potter series, Huntik is about the forces of good battling the legendary forces of evil. In this case evil is represented by a character known as The Professor.He stands as the head of an evil organization.
The stars of Huntik are magic weilding teens. They are staving off evil in order to complete a search for others of their own kind to help them save the world.The show is sure to spawn a line of toys popular in 2009.
